Empowering the informal sector workers for healthier lives
SEVA Foundation held a partnership meeting with its 2025-2026 grantees to implement eye health care projects in Uganda. Community Holistic Care focused on “Bringing eye health closer to the informal sector workers in Kampala”. Eye screening amongst carpenters in Uganda by Community Holistic Care Mulago 
Demonstrating the importance of occupational health amongst the carpenters in Uganda. 
The carpenters were very eager to learn on how saw dusts affects their eyes especially when they are not putting on eye protective glasses. They were screened for refractive errors and other eye conditions. These eye care services were provided at their work places by Community Holistic Care Mulago with support from SEVA Foundation.

CHCM is woman –led organisation started by the youth in Mulago II . The organisation focuses on extending maternal mental; health , eye health , SRHR and climate adaptative services to the informal sector workers in the underserved urban , peri-urban and rural areas in Uganda.
